We would like to introduce you to a special capsule collection "Queen Arenal" - a collection of ponchos, robes and dresses we hand-stitched by the volcano Arenal in Costa Rica in a limited edition.
We only created a few pieces, and all of them are one of the kind.
In the beginning of 2022 we have visited indigenous Boruca village in South Costa Rica and met with the local families where women are still hand-weave the textiles themselves on the traditional loom. They hand-dye each thread with the medicinal plants collected around the village. This tradition is very old and the process is very slow, and right now this tradition is dying because only a few women are left who know how to do it.
With this collection we want to support the local women and their tradition and we hope to create more pieces like this.
Each piece has been stitched at the gorgeous and peaceful place by the volcano Arenal (we were feeling the energy strongly!)
We are bringing the pieces from Arenal to the US and are happy to share them with you.
They are all one size fits all. Sides are open - so you can wear them as long elegant ponchos or ritual robes.
We hope it will serve you as a beautiful intentional attire for your gatherings, personal practice, ceremony journeys, music, dance or simple comfort of life.
Material: Cotton blend (about 80% cotton, 20% lycra bought in San Jose, CR) + 100% cotton naturally dyed handwoven embroidery from Boruca Village.

Emerged and slowly disappeared, just as
My foam-flecked body, receiving a sea-sign,
Melted within and slowly turned to spirit.

It is easy to get caught up in life's busy wheel; between taking care of your children, growing your relationship with your spouse, hitting targets at work and attending to your hobbies and interests.
This can get overwhelming, pushing us to high stress levels, anxiety and eventually lead to depression. We have put together simple tips and ways you can practice mindfulness and self-care to keep you abundant on the inside and graceful as you navigate through life.
1. Body Scan
For this mindfulness activity get comfortable, you can lay flat on the floor or a bed (think savasana in yoga), or sit in a chair or on a meditation cushion. You can even do this walking if you like, though I do not recommend that to start.
Relax and feel your body. Spend just a few moments being aware of your body in general. Maybe listen to your breath and notice how deeply (or shallowly) you are breathing. Maybe you will hear your stomach rumbling or gurgling. Maybe there is an itch on your nose.
2. Eye Scan
Look around you and name three things you can hear, then two things you can see, and finally one sensation that you feel.
By doing this, you are grounding yourself by increasing your awareness of your body and your environment.
3. Mindful Breathing
A mindful breathing technique involves paying attention to your breath without changing it. Even though this might sound easy, focusing your attention on a simple thing like your breath can actually take some discipline and practice. Your mind will probably wander off. Many times.
Mindful breathing is simple in theory, but it can be a challenge to implement, especially at first. However, the more you practice and get used to bringing your mind back when it wanders, the more you’ll be able to experience the calmness and connection to the present moment that mindful breathing techniques can offer.
4.Mindful eating
Mindful eating is a technique that helps you gain control over your eating habits. It has been shown to promote weight loss, reduce binge eating, and help you feel better.
Fundamentally, mindful eating involves:
“Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.”

"We think we have a self. But there is no such thing as an individual separate self. A flower is made only of non-flower elements, such as chlorophyll, sunlight, and water. If we were to remove all the non-flower elements from the flower, there would be no flower left.
A flower cannot be by herself alone.
A flower can only inter-be with all of us… Humans are like this too. We can’t exist by ourselves alone. We can only inter-be. I am made only of non-me elements, such as the Earth, the sun, parents, and ancestors.
In a relationship, if you can see the nature of interbeing between you and the other person, you can see that his suffering is your own suffering, and your happiness is his own happiness. With this way of seeing, you speak and act differently. This in itself can relieve so much suffering.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh

Practicing balancing poses in yoga, such as Tree Pose, helps to gain both physical and mental steadiness.
If you practice balancing poses regularly, it will improve your focus and your ability to concentrate in all areas of your life, particularly during those times when you might normally feel “off-balance.”
Tree pose for instance has a positive impact on the grace and ease with which you approach all circumstances, even outside of your yoga class.
It teaches the benefits of a meditative state of mind, and is a gentle reminder that you can bring calm focus and clear-headedness to all situations, not just when you are practicing a seated meditation...

Autumn, also known as Fall in North American English,
is one of the four temperate seasons. Outside the tropics, Fall marks the transition from summer to winter.
Is there a chill atmosphere?
Are the leaves changing?
Suddenly seeing Halloween decorations everywhere ?
There is only one meaning for that, Fall is here.
Such sweater weather calls for indulgence in the cozier side of life,
so be ready for what matters:
1.Nature walks-nothing beats a beautiful nature walk in the heart of autumn, the orange leaves provide a breath-taking scenic view.
2.Try new recipes-Take the time to cook up a fall themed recipe with the family. It is such a precious way to bond together with them.
3.Change your wardrobe- With the weather moving into the cooler side, you may want to consider switching up your summer wardrobe for something warmer. Luckily, our glorka fall collection has a wide variety of ponchos and shawls you can buy for the season.
4.Stay Safe-As we are still in a pandemic, please make sure that you still keep to health guidelines and protect loved ones around you.
5.Camping-Set up camp in the backyard of your house with your family and come up with simple but fun camp activities you can have with the children as well.
6.Zoom Calls-Come up with fun activities with online to play with members who aren't in the same space you are in.
7.Picnics-the weather is to nice and it favors everyone, why not go to a park have a nice set up and have fun? Don't forget to carry a pie or your favorite snack.
8.Bird watching-Research on birds around your local ,get to enjoy while they move from one place to another, and also learn the different types of birds. Isn't that amazing?
9.Collect fall leaves-Building a fall tower is a fun activity to run with the children.
10.Get lost in a maize corn-and let your friends look for you!
This year has taught us nothing but the value of time together, so make use of this Fall season and have all the fun!
Green represents the nature and natural habitat, and it has a calming effect
Anya Hindmarch, designer, once said "I am not a plastic bag” initiative: “I would define the ideal as locally sourced materials that don’t pollute in their creation or
demise (preferably recycled) and with limited transportation to achieve the completed product.
We need to change our mindset when buying clothes. We should say no to disposable fashion made from unsustainable materials, and think about buying clothes that will last you a lifetime. Does not necessarily mean running out of style.
It simply means being more sensitive to what we buy—and making use of what we have.
The following are some ways you can practice Green Fashion
1.Always do your research-First thing's first, do your research. With a lot of research, you will distinguish enviro-conscious and non enviro-conscious.
Ensure the brands you work with are committed to sustainability, being organic, and cruelty-free.
2.Scale down your wardrobe-Find clothes that you can wear year round instead of those that you wear on specific events. Invest in all weathers clothes.
3.Learn to repair your clothes-Don't toss your clothes when they get rip or toned, you can learn how to repair them or even take them to a tailor.
4.Gift- You can always give out or donate clothes as soon as it feels like you're done with them.
Give things away to your friends with the thought that they've got to give it to someone else or donate when they're done with it.
5.Use good detergents-the detergents you use for when washing your clothes determine there longevity.
To keep your expensive clothes or brand use the right detergents to maintain the quality thus helps in budgeting for new ones.
6.DIY-Try to turn old clothes into current fashionable trends, have a tailor shorten a buggy cloth for you for example a hoody into a
cute crop top.
7.Avoid impulse buying-you will end up with so many clothes that you will probably never wear them, and the money used could have been spent on eco friendly clothes.
8.Save water -Don't waste a lot of water while washing clothes, have a good schedule of washing your clothes to reduce wastage.
What is ethical fashion?
Cossac defines it as " a process in which considerations for ethical and environmental impacts are made in order to reduce the potential impact on the planet and other human beings from creating and manufacturing a product."
This means that a lot goes into creating the product. The materials used to create the product, the process of creating it, the welfare of the people involved in its creation as well as its effects on the environment. It also referred to as sustainable fashion or eco-friendly fashion.
Why is it important?
1.Green fashion
The most important part of ethical fashion is that it is good for the environment. Caring for the environment isn't affected only by what we consume or machines that we use, but by what we wear. Ethical fashion seeks to create garments that are kind to the environment and sustainable to the eco-system in the long run.
2.Cruelty-free
Glorka wear is a cruelty-free shop. This means that we do not stand for garments created by the mistreatment or underpayment of the people creating it. We are also against mistreatment and the killing of animals to produce garments.
3.Skin-friendly
Ethical garments are friendly to the skin. Since they are not created by strong chemicals, they are kind to the skin and won't bring about allergies or other skin reactions.
4.Easy to maintain
Organic clothing is easy to maintain. Unlike factory produced wear, organic wear is a lot easier to maintain and sustainable over an extended period of time.
5.Awareness
Owning sustainable clothing gives you the opportunity to spread awareness of environmental sustainability. What's more, you can encourage your friends to do the same!
Glorka is cruelty-free & sweat-shop free. We are devoted to ethical production.

For those who have been following my India journeys (and for those who have no idea what I'm talking about) - I have some awesome news I want to share!
Remember I was mentioning about the Rajasthani wild tribal women I was living with and teaching this year? Right before pandemic?! And the beautiful skirts we were gonna create?...
So we did it! I sent them the fabric, right before the pandemic, and they made 10 beautiful skirts and shipped them to me right when the lockdown started... and somehow the package did make its way to LA and I received my first glorka collection of skirts created by the beautiful tribal women of Rajasthan!
With the help of her brother, Gali, the village girl whom I left in charge of the project, was able to open her bank account (a big deal in Indian village!) and I was able to send her and other women their first remote payment! I can’t believe all the little steps and pieces came together!
This is such an important milestone for me... and for them... and for the work, we are doing with Ammachilabs ... and I'm so happy and grateful that this project is moving along! India is slowly reopening as well and I have already sent them more fabrics!
