This creation is a part of the Women Empowerment project, which glorka started in 2018 in India together with Ammachi Labs.
Ammachi Labs is a part of humanitarian organization 'Embracing The World' founded by Amma, Mata Amritanandamayi. Ammachi Labs offer tailoring courses to women in rural villages, women who don’t have access neither for education nor for employment opportunities.
Every year since 2018 we've been coming to the villages to teach women how to make clothes. After spending some time on learning and practicing we then co-create collections of beautiful bohemian dresses, empowering women to become more independent, self-reliant and simply happier...
When we come to the villages we live with them, teach them and share our knowledge and love.
This project has two goals: one is to offer women employment opportunity while giving them new skills, and two is a heart-to-heart connection with them, acknowledging them, paying attention to their life, sharing stories, co-creating together...
Thank you for appreciating this piece.
Care: We hand-make all garments with love and care and we want them to bring you joy as long as possible! We highly recommend hand-washing and drying flat.
