“Steampunk is...a joyous fantasy of the past, allowing us to revel in a nostalgia for what never was. It is a literary playground for adventure, spectacle, drama, escapism and exploration. But most of all it is fun!” ― George Mann
We love love love steampunk theme - this mixture of Victorian, lace, brocade fabrics, opticals, clock mechanisms, copper and bronze colors and, of course, pilot googles - all of this creates an amazing experience of fantasy past. This is why we couldn't resist to implement some of the steampunk features into our favorite harem style pant design. And here you go - an incredible ninja warrior/steampunk elegance costume. Looking chic while staying comfy!
-Unisex -Extremely durable main fabric -Flowing relaxed fit -2 side pockets -Black elastic waistband and leg cuffs. Waistband is reinforced with an inner drawstring.
Materials: - black 100% silk extra panel and black cotton/poly woven blend (durable) for the main fabric. Black cotton jersey (95% cotton 5% spandex) for the waistband and leg cuffs + inner drawstring for the waistband. Fabrics for this pair were bought in Fashion District, LA and the pant was handmade in one of our Bushwick studios in Brooklyn, NY.
Care: We hand-make all garments with love and care and we want them to bring you joy as long as possible! This is why we always recommend hand washing and drying flat to preserve the item to last longer. Especially because of the brocade extra panel - it is better to either handwash or dry clean. Please avoid hot dryers!
WE ARE ETHICAL PRODUCTION
glorka wear is handmade, ethical and sweat-shop free production. We work with 2 seamstresses and and 1 sewer from New York and Los Angeles. We are very proud to work with this great team full of passion for sewing and crafting.
All of our creations are limited editions only. We only use same fabric for up to 5-6 pieces and then move on to the next fabric. The only ongoing designs we have are pure white and solid black colors.
To reduce textile waste we strive to upcylce (use discarded or vintage fabrics that would end up in waste otherwise), and eco-friendly natural fabrics and blends. We are trying to use recycled polyester and upcycled synthetics to reduce waste.
You can always inquire about each of the fabrics we use for our designs here.
