"It’s all started in summer 2012 - when I flew from New York to visit my family in Russia and met with my high school dear friend in my hometown… At that time I just discovered Burning Man, yoga, spiritual retreats, festivals, outdoors, and big love for comfy free-flow clothing… I remember i was wearing my only pair of thai fisherman pants I bought at one of the summer markets, when I saw a similar style pant on my friend Kristina. I said: “Wow, I love your pants, they are like mine, but so much cooler… I’ve never seen them in this fabric before…” And she said: “Yeah, I made them myself. As you  know glorka wear is handmade, ethical and sweat-shop free production. We believe in moving fashion towards sustainability by using eco-friendly materials, decreasing waste and providing living wages to those who's amazing hands create our clothes. We work with 2 seamstresses and and 1 sewer from New York and Los Angeles. We are very proud to work with this great team full of passion for sewing and crafting.  To reduce textile waste and make our planet greener we strive to upcylce (use discarded or vintage fabrics that would end up in waste otherwise), and eco-friendly natural fabrics and blends that will decompose with time.  We are still in the process of moving towards sustainability and we still cary a number of products made from contemporary synthetic fabrics....
