Learning new stitches together, laughing and sharing good moments- this is a true co-creation, sacred, beautiful, and uplifting... I cannot express with words how grateful I am to be able to spend time with these wonderful women and share knowledge with them and create beautiful pieces together. Even language stops being an issue when you sit down to craft. There is always a way to show, illustrate and explain with gestures, as long as desire is there- everything is possible.

On the last day of the previous India trip I was walking through little cute shops of Arambol Beach back to my guest house room. There was one particular shop that attracted my attention. Natural and earthy colors of the soft scarfs, shawls and blankets were displayed there along with the brochures of what this place was. “I am blind BUT I can Weave”- one of the photos on the brochure said. I felt a calling to walk in and check it out. This was a fair trade shop of the organization called Yes Helping Hands Handicrafts.
