Handwoven poncho with the hood, handcrafted from a hand-block printed cotton and cotton jersey knits.
This beautiful textured cotton has a nice and a soft touch. Black and white hand-block print resembles the tribal print of the African mud cloth. The fabric was printed by the hands of the local artisans near Jaipur, Rajasthan in India using the hand-carved wooden blocks.
It is amazing to see how the centuries-old traditions of Africa and India are being expressed in the contemporary prints. It truly is the beauty that is timeless.
The poncho is great for the wanderers, nomads and free spirits. It works perfect as a cover up, a throw or a large scarf. It is warm and soft, and will be a great addition to any wardrobe!
The source of material was limited, and only a few pieces were made from this fabric.

Ethical Production
Ethical Production
glorka is a handmade ethical production. We work with 3 seamstresses and 2 tailors from New York, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. We are very proud to work with this small but very passionate for handcrafting team of beautiful beings.
All the pieces that are handcrafted in other countries are a part of our Women Empowerment and Teaching projects around the world.
Most of our creations are either one of the kind or a Limited Edition. We only use same fabric for up to 10-12 pieces and then move on to the next fabric. The only ongoing designs we have are our basics: pants and tops from high-quality cotton in solid white, gray and black colors.
To reduce textile waste we strive to upcycle (use discarded or vintage fabrics that would end up in a landfill otherwise), and eco-friendly natural fabrics and blends. We are trying to use recycled polyester and upcycled fabrics to reduce waste and be more gentle to our Mother Earth.
You can always inquire about each of the fabrics we use for our designs here.
