This gorgeous beduin style desert scarf is lovingly hand crafted by Lunara Love of Lunara Design for our collaborative collection "Desert Tales"

Being a nomad is like being a free spirit, a desert dweller who is ready to let go of the things that don't really matter and focus on the ones that support the deepest heart's desire... Being in love with the nomadic lifestyle, together with Lunara Design, we created this free-spirited collection of the scarves, pants, kimonos and robes to express the way we see a contemporary nomad wear.

This beautiful desert shawl is a one of the kind creation. It can be worn as a headpiece, a belt, a scarf or a wrap.

It comes with two detachable layers: a gauze cotton, hand-dyed by Lunara Love herself, and a stretch cotton jersey layer.

Lunara has been crafting these magical creations at her home studio in New York, at the beach in Tulum and when she travels to Paris or Moscow to explore the most fashionable places on Earth.

Each piece is hand-sewn and it takes a few days to make.

Care

We hand-make all garments with love and care and we want them to bring you joy as long as possible! This is why we always recommend hand washing and drying flat to preserve the item to last longer.

Please avoid hot dryers!

Gentle cycle cold/warm machine wash and low temperature dryer is OK, but air drying is highly recommended.

Ethical Production

glorka is a handmade ethical production. We work with 3 seamstresses and 2 tailors from New York, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. We are very proud to work with this small but very passionate for handcrafting team of beautiful beings.

All the pieces that are handcrafted in other countries are a part of our Women Empowerment and Teaching projects around the world.

Most of our creations are either one of the kind or a Limited Edition. We only use same fabric for up to 10-12 pieces and then move on to the next fabric. The only ongoing designs we have are our basics: pants and tops from high-quality cotton in solid white, gray and black colors.

To reduce textile waste we strive to upcycle (use discarded or vintage fabrics that would end up in a landfill otherwise), and eco-friendly natural fabrics and blends. We are trying to use recycled polyester and upcycled fabrics to reduce waste and be more gentle to our Mother Earth.

You can always inquire about each of the fabrics we use for our designs here.
