We are so stoked to introduce this new glorka pants design!
Well, actually the design is old but the addition to our standard black drop pants is the new handwoven and hand dyed 100% cotton textile called Danfani - coming from Burkina-Faso, West Africa.

Makhosi Temple - a Temple to preserve indiginous culture and traditions - introduced Glorka to "Danfani" textiles from Burkina Faso in 2021 and we already finished a few collections using this magnificent fabric.

“Danfani” are the traditional textiles hand-loomed & handstiched together. 🙏🏻

100% woven cotton is softened & dyed with leaves, bark, & fermented river mud.🌊🌿🪵

Together with Makhosi Temple in Fallbrook, CA we want to support local artisans & indigenous women of Burkina Faso, West Africa.

STYLING TIP: Lower the waist of the pants and style them with the boots - they will look amazing!
Pair these pants with our Black&Red Kimono (in short OR long version) for a complete look!

Materials: black color cotton blend (95% cotton 5% lycra) paired with 100% Danfani Textile handwoven and hand dyed in West Africa.

The pant was made in one of our studios in New York.

Measurements:
Fits: S, M and L sizes (though it will look different on various body types).
The model is M size.

Care:
Gentle cycle cold/warm machine wash and low temperature dryer are OK.
We hand-make all garments with love and care and we want them to bring you joy as long as possible! This is why we always recommend hand washing and drying flat to preserve the item to last longer.
Please avoid hot dryers!

ETHICAL PRODUCTION

glorka wear is handmade, ethical and sweat-shop free production. I work with 3 seamstresses in New York and Los Angeles, and I am very proud to work with this great team full of passion for sewing and crafting.

To reduce textile waste and make our planet greener I strive to up cycle (use discarded or vintage fabrics that would end up in waste otherwise), and eco-friendly natural fabrics and blends that will decompose with time.

I am still in the process of moving towards sustainability and I still cary a number of products made from contemporary synthetic fabrics. With every new step I will be updating my inventory towards compostable, natural and up cycled materials.

We have a few showrooms and storefront locations where you can come in and try on the pieces in person or exchange any of the pieces.
